after visiting the windmills, we headed to an adorable seaport town named {volendam}. we loved it! it's kind of like seaport village but with more personality. ricky remembered eating raw herring there- a dutch tradition and made sure to order some for lunch. i definitely like our version of sushi a lot better! one of his favorite pictures from his mission was when all the missionaries dressed up in dutch costumes- super cute so that was definitely on the agenda to get a family portrait.
