congrats to em & chris for their beautiful wedding and giving us a fun reason to get all dressed up! after years of borrowing and renting, ricky finally bought his very own tuxedo (and i might i add he looks very handsome!) the reception was at the same hotel in coronado where we had our reception so it brought back a lot of memories!

hopefully miss usa?! we are sending best wishes to our friend, Carrie Prejean, Miss California as she competes tonight for Miss USA. make sure you watch her tonight on NBC at 7:00. go carrie!!!

update: we are thrilled carrie won 1st runner-up at Miss USA. we are proud that she stood up for what she believes in and know she will get far in life. everyone is entitled to their own opinion and shouldn't be ridiculed for it.

{ eggciting easter }

what an easter weekend! my parents are in france so i wanted posted a lot of pictures for them to see! hayden become an easter egg hunt pro! we watched alena, dean and grant and dyed some easter eggs. we also went to the city's easter celebration

and rode rides, met the easter bunny and hunted for eggs. the easter bunny left baskets for all 3 of us! after church on easter sunday, we went to mike and brianna's for a delicious family dinner. the kids did another hunt and we had a wonderful day to celebrate the most glorious event that happened on earth.

{ seaworld shoot }

seeing 4 killer whales staring at you eye to eye was pretty amazing. hayden was asked to do a shoot for seaworld and he fell in love with shamu! the baby whale really liked hayden and it was really cool to see how attentive the whales are with the trainer. we spent the rest of the day at the park and had a sweet time. he is finally "big" enough to really enjoy as i like to call it, {captain's kid world}

first haircut

we finally did it and everyone survived! ricky and i fell in love with "pigtails and crewcuts" salon 

back when i was pregnant & we were at otay ranch mall, we saw this adorable children's salon & decided that was where we wanted hayden's 1st haircut to be and it was smooth sailing! he sat in a little vintage airplane, watched cartoons on a plasma tv, ate animal crackers and didn't even care what was going on. he was as happy as could be! ricky and i were like the paparazzi taking pictures and videotaping- it was hilarious! it was so much fun and they even gave us a certificate and a lock of his hair. it looks so much better and we will definitely come here next time.

{ HAYDEN'S FIRST PICTURE- 15 MONTHS OLD- Oct. 2008 }

{ i always enjoyed crafts growing up and would like to do fun projects with my kids. we started painting a few months ago and it was a hit! hayden kicks it in his diaper and has a blast getting paint all over the place. i think he gets more paint on himself than the painting! we just make sure we're outside and all is well. }

march madness!

wow! march flew by! we were super busy with pageants, playdates, births and birthdays. i turned 28 (gulp) and am trying to play catch-up on our blog. here are some pictures of our "march madness!"

ricky was "captain jack" for the fashion show i worked on and wow was he great! not only did he look awesome but he played the part perfectly....ARRR!

aimee, ava and baby tate came over for lunch and we had a great time! we are planning our 1o-year high school reunion and just can't believe how quickly it's gone by. ricky asked hayden, "where is your girlfriend?" and he pointed right at ava! sorry ladies!

we hart this movie

bolt! have you seen it yet? it's so good! we just watched it tonight and it was the first time hayden actually sat through an entire movie! he shouted "dog- woof woof" and "kitty" the entire movie but we all loved it and gave it a "6 thumbs up!" I even shed a tear...go see it!
