being one was fun, 

but { two } here i come!

we cannot believe you are 2 years old today! happy 2nd birthday! parents always say it goes by quickly, but really, it does. hayden, you have seen and learned a lot this year. from building sandcastles in the hawaiian sun to living it up in new york city, from seeing the whitehouse in washington d.c. and then "strollering" it throughout europe, we have cherished every second with you. if being 2 will be twice as good as being 1, we are excited for this year. potty training? abc's? we have some exciting milestones coming our way. we love you!

we hart utah. we love it mostly because of my family that lives there- they are amazing. it truly is our "home away from home" and we love it there. we try to go every summer to see everyone and this year my cousin allyx got married! what a beautiful bride! we just got home from europe and then we were off again. these pictures were easier to post than europe...hopefully i can get those out this week!

where's ricky? well, both he and hayden were pretty sick- we went to the ER and ricky had an iv. They made a 5 minute appearance at the reception before they had to leave again. i'm so happy my boys are feeling better!

{ dutch date }

one of ricky's favorite pictures from his mission was when all of the missionaries went to volendam, an adorable seaport dutch city, to dress up in traditional dutch clothing and take a photo. that was definitely on our list and here we are! 

for being german, i think i can pass for being a {dutch} girl pretty well! i am still uploading the millions of pictures we took from our trip and off to utah tomorrow for allyx's wedding- just wanted to share this with you until we get back and can get everything posted. have a good week and glad to be back home in the usa!

{ greetings from europe! }

hi everyone! we are having an absolute blast vacationing in europe! from amsterdam all the way down to vienna, we have learned and seen a lot. we have taken a ton of pictures and can't wait to share them with you all. these last few weeks have flown by and we are coming home tomorrow. sending you warm wishes all the way from munich, germany!

{ rock the boat }

we had a blast at the san diego county fair on wednesday. can you believe that hayden was {tall} enough to ride his very own ride all by himself? it definitely was a mommy moment for me because ricky and i were positive he wouldn't be tall enough. we stood him next to the line and sure enough, our little baby boy had become a {big} boy, tall enough to ride the boats- which he absolutely loved! he sat and smiled the entire time, making sure we were watching him. since the fair's fun, i wanted to have fun with the pics and make them look vintage.
